PENSA Newsletter January-April 2001, Vol.2 No.1 Message From Editor Dear PENSA members: It may be late but we wish to say "Happy New Year" for all our members as well as to say "Sin Jia Yu Iee, Sin Nee Huad Chai" for our Chinese members for their passing Chinese New Year. Also, we would like to thank Professor Tsann-Long Hwang and his organizing committee of the 6th Congress in PENSA in Taipei for sending parts of the registration fee to PENSA. Their contribution helps a lot in maintaining the PENSA web site and this newsletter. In this newsletter, there are abstracts of interesting articles from the program & abstract books from the 4th and 6th Congress of PENSA. In addition, on the forth page, there are announcement about meetings and congresses in Asia this year. The nearest congress, the BISPEN congress in Beijing is going to be held in April, 2001. This congress might be the most fruitful scientific meeting with the very reasonable price. It may be too late to send an abstract, but you can still attend the congress by contacting the web site www.bispen.com. Another congress that you should not miss is our seventh congress of PENSA in Bali in August, 2001. Those who are interesting can send a request for more information and abstract form to the organizing committee. We wish to meet you all there. Lastly, we would like to thank our members who had visited our PENSA web site at www.pensa.org. We are trying to improve our web site and provide more information to serve our members. All of you are welcome to send news, information and other knowledge you wish to be shown in the web site or published in this newsletter. We are looking forward for receiving them as well as any comments to improve our work.
