PENSA Newsletter May-August 2002, Vol.3 No.2 Message From Editor Dear PENSA members: In the next few months, the 8th Congress of PENSA will be held in Kochi, Japan (November 5th - 7th, 2002). This congress will provide a unique opportunity of international educational program by world - famous lecturers as well as from speakers from our member countries. The registration form, program and other information are provide here in this PENSA newsletter. The deadline for abstract submission and early registration is August 31st, 2002. As we have mentioned before, we plan to use this newsletter as a mean to share our experience and practice between our member countries. Thus, we present in this newsletter two articles "Taiwan local nutrition" by Professor Tsann-Long Hwang, the ex-president of PENSA and "Hospital-based nutrition intervention in India-practical issue" by Dr.Sarath Gopalan, the secretary of Indian Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ISPEN). In addition, we have another very interesting article, "Nutrition support with different amino acid formulas in the treatment of various disorders" by Professor Akira Okada from Osaka, Japan. These three articles derived from the program and abstract book of the 7th Congress of PENSA which we hope will be useful for ones who had not attended the meeting last year.
