Japanese
government has announced that they would establish
e-government for advanced administration of
national issues. As one of its clinical application,
Telemedicine (TM) using information Technology
(IT), such as IT visits to remote-home care
settings. It includes evaluation of clinical
appearances of patients' facial expressions,
physical movements, pressure ulcers, and so
on. Although it still remained experimental
phase, government expects that IT and TM will
make contribution to clinical advancement and
QOL improvement of patients. IT is also expected
to share clinical knowledge, including nutrition.
Not only evidence-based medicine (EBM), but
complementary and alternative medicine (CAM)
are key area in patient-centered medicine, evidence
must be spread through IT. IT nutrition is introduced
in this dialogue.
