Dear
PENSA members:
Happy
New Year 2006 to all PENSA members!
The New Year
has past as well as Chinese New Year. Hope all
our members have had a good time and are ready
for hard work and happiness in this year. Some
of our members asked for the reason why the
PENSA Committee decided to change the frequency
of the congress. There are few reasons. Firstly,
2-year period will allow more accumulation of
new researches and knowledge. Secondly, ASPEN
has changed the frequency to every alternated
year for the same reason. Thus, the attendants
and industries can plan their budget and time
schedule to attend each workshop on different
year. However, the next work shop will be in
2007 which is the same year as ASPEN Congress.
In order to make the proper time schedule, the
workshops are planned to be held in 2007, 2009,
2010 then every even year.
The
articles in this newsletter are "Nutrition
support team in ICU" by Cheungsoo Shin,
"Serum iron, vitamin B1, B12 levels after
radical gastrectomy" by Gil Ho Kang and
his team. All these papers are retrieved from
the program book of the 11th PENSA Congress
in Seoul, Korea.
