PENSA Newsletter January -April 2007, Vol.8 No.1 Message From Editor Dear PENSA members:          Even though this New Year's Day may have been unpleasant in some countries due to certain events like the series of bombs in Bangkok and the terrible airplane accident in Indonesia, we hope that most of you had a good time. With struggling economies, a possible increase in terrorist attacks and many other political challenges and changes, the coming year may provide hard times for us. However, we have to immunize ourselves against these problems and adapt to them to be able to live as happily as possible.          As promised, Dr Thanyadej Nimmanwudipong, the President of SPENT has protocolled the details of the last PENSA International Board Meeting in Bangkok for us. In addition, since there have been some changes of the members of the Board, a photo of and brief introduction to each new member are presented in this newsletter as well. We also are very happy to present you an interesting new paper from the Yongdong Severance Hospital in Korea on the C-reactive protein to prealbumin ratio as a possible index for mortality.          We try to make the newsletter a communication tool for our members. So if you have any opinions, news or activities of your PEN society to share, please send them to us. All your contributions are very welcome.
